Updated August 29, 2026 with new reporting. This is a material records update to the existing roster-conflict story, adding a current contradiction on the Planning Board’s own member page.
Wilton’s own Planning Board member page now presents a direct internal conflict: it says the board has seven members, but 10 names appear beneath the heading, while a separate town page is still recruiting for a Planning Board opening. ([townofwilton.ny.gov](https://townofwilton.ny.gov/government/planning-board/board-members/))
Wilton’s public board-roster issue has shifted onto the Planning Board’s own member page, which says the board has seven members but lists 10 names, even as the town’s volunteer-opportunities page continues to advertise a Planning Board opening. ([townofwilton.ny.gov](https://townofwilton.ny.gov/government/planning-board/board-members/))
The conflict is visible on the town’s Planning Board board-members page. That page says, “The Planning Board has seven members,” then displays the names William Rice, Harold VanEarden, David Gabay, Christopher Price, Thomas J. Murphy, James Deloria, Dean Kolligian, Amanda Pelfrey, Laura Lourenco, and Amy DiLeone beneath the heading. (townofwilton.ny.gov)
At the same time, Wilton’s volunteer-opportunities page says the town is seeking a “community-minded resident” to serve on the Planning Board and says the deadline is open until filled. (townofwilton.ny.gov)
That leaves residents with a practical records problem rather than just a stale directory issue. From the public pages alone, it is not clear whether some of the names on the board-members page are current appointees, alternates, staff entries, or outdated carryovers. (townofwilton.ny.gov)
The next records to watch are any correction to the Planning Board page itself and any Town Board appointment record that clarifies the actual seat count and membership. (townofwilton.ny.gov)
