A new Sept. 4 notice says Wilton’s Code & Zoning Revision Committee will meet Sept. 14 and every second Monday after that, but an older 2026 town schedule still lists Oct. 5.
Wilton’s public record for the Code & Zoning Revision Committee now points to two different October dates, even as the town continues work on sign, lighting and other code changes.
Wilton posted a new public notice dated September 4 saying the Code & Zoning Revision Committee will meet on Monday, September 14, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. at Town Hall, and on “every second Monday of the month to follow.”
That would normally point readers to Monday, October 12, 2026 for the next regular meeting.
But another official town document still available on the site, the committee’s 2026 meeting-schedule PDF, lists Monday, October 5, 2026 instead.
The town’s committee page also says the group meets on the second Monday of every month unless otherwise noted. As of September 8, those materials do not resolve the October mismatch.
This matters because the committee is one of the places where Wilton’s code revisions are discussed before they move toward the Town Board. Residents following sign rules, outdoor-lighting standards, multi-use-path language, or other zoning changes should not have to guess which October meeting date is current.
A simple correction would clear it up: either a revised annual schedule or a posted September 14 agenda that states the next meeting date plainly.
